Can you get into an R rated movie if an adult buys the tickets?

Hey:) no you cant if you are even 17 and someone whos over 18 goes with you, you still carnt get into an R rated movie but your sweet to go watch bruno today because its only MA i thought it was R but im 100% sure its MA as my neighbour whos 15 went to see it yesterday:) enjoy
