Two bran new computers one xp one vista?

Firstly you need a wired or wireless router to network both pcs, then have them both dhcp ip addressed off the router. This will allow you to access the internet at the same time. If you want to share files between them, make sure their both on the same workgroup then right click folder you want shared and share.
