To what extent do we circise boys to please the female eye?

Lots of boys are circised for religious reasons but many more are circised so that they fit in with the crowd...so they aren't "different" in the locker room amongst other boys. I don't think that society's idea of what's "normal" will change until more people decide that circision is unnecessary. My son is not circised. He's 22 years old now and he has mentioned to me that he would have appreciated having had the procedure done when he was a baby. He would have had it done, too, if his doctor hadn't talked me out of it. Now I'm not sure I did the right thing...since what matters more to me is how my son feels about it. Too bad babies aren't able to give their two cents worth at the time when the decision needs to be made.
