Infant allergies?

How old is your daughter exactly? My friend's little girl has been on claritin since she was 7 months old and it has helped her immensely. They were about to put tubes in her ears due to constant infections and she finally took her to see a specialist who recommended the claritin and she has not had an ear infection since.
