5 days late negative hpt?

Period was due monday night to tuesday morning here is is Saturday and I got a negative HPT...Have all the symptoms ( nauseous, bloated, hungry,extremely tired), second month off bc and had a regular period last cycle. Have had cramps but no sign of AF??? ANyone else not get a positive test right away??? AN\ny hope for a BFP?
